Can I get Be?
We provide service through a process called local loop unbundling (LLU), which means that we rent space in a BT exchange, buy our own equipment, create our own backhaul network, and connect BT’s copper ‘last mile’ network to your premises. Our service is therefore only available if your current premises are connected to a BT exchange in which we’ve ‘unbundled’ (i.e. put our own equipment).
When you use our availability checker online, we check as to whether Be provides service at your exchange and some line characteristics that will indicate whether we can place an order to upgrade your BT line to add our service.
You cannot order Be on a phone line that is currently supplied using ISDN, Fibre, Telephone Switch, TPON, or BT’s FeatureNet product. In these cases, you will need to order a new BT analogue phone line in order to get our ludicrously fast service.
